Outfitted in Triple F.A.T Goose is Sean Rose – an emerging songwriter/rapper from Las Vegas, Nevada. For most, Las Vegas is known as the “city of sin” where tourists come to experience the exquisite hotels, nightlife, and bright lights of the strip that never rest - but for Sean Rose, Las Vegas is home. He started writing his own lyrics at the age of 12 but now at the age of 23, Rose is ready to emcee the reality of Las Vegas. Beyond the neon lights and casinos exists a city that still deals with issues of teenage prostitution and the struggle to stay employed due to its reliance on tourism. Here to tell it all is Sean Rose and we, at TFG, anticipate the rise of Rose as he tells his side of the Fabulous Las Vegas.
When The New Royalty formed in 2008 they started as a ‘cover band’ doing studio sessions at a music school. Now, writing and performing original music they worked hard to earn sponsorship from Leader Records International. This five-member band from Central Jersey has played some huge music festivals such as Bamboozle in 2011 and is in rotation on Argentina’s VH1 and MTV. You can also hear their music in rotation on top 40 radio stations across the country. Their latest stage presence was raved about at Vans Warped Tour as they continue to pick up more buzz by fans and promoters. We are glad to introduce TFG Representatives - The New Royalty.

Tonight is BLVD’s third annual winter showcase at The Independent in San Francisco. Just six days after
New Year’s Eve, winter takes a turn for the warmer while locals take the popular venue by storm. All
guests are in rare form, including an unwavering party-ready honey badger centered prominently on the
show flier- “Honey badger don’t care… honey badger just wants to get down!”
House lights dim to dark and three slender silhouettes slip on stage. A methodical pulse hits through the
kick drum as the stage is swept over by a rich peach glow that illuminates the members of BLVD– Dylan
McIntosh, drums/samples, Curtis Sloane, electric guitar/samples, and Tripp Bains, bass/keyboard. For the
next ninety minutes, BLVD takes their audience– both local fans and long-time friends– on an euphoric
rollercoaster of synthesized jams, mashed up remixes, electro pop riffs, and energized arrangements that
showcase classic BLVD genius; one epic dance party.
Their set– built on covered samples from Michael Jackson, Kaskade, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ghostland
Observatory, Foster the People, Empire of the Sun, LMFAO, Foals and Calvin Harris– is peppered with
signature beats and new rhythms ranging from original Cuban Sahara to popular Miami cool. BLVD makes
conscious effort to feature melodies that celebrate their initial blend of unique synthesized melodies and
unpolluted instrumental technique– eerie X-Files cadence glittered with angelic beats that give way to hardhitting wah-wah bass.
Center stage, under sporadic projections of Japanese characters and pulsing heart rate monitors, McIntosh
shoots a smirk to Bains at stage right and then looks to Sloane at stage left before announcing the next
selection in their set, BLVD’s first-written song, “Again in the Light.”
BLVD is nine years deep, three men strong, four albums produced, and thousands of fans deserved. With a
reinvented sound full of energy, sophisticated attitude and just enough pop culture to keep critics on their
toes, BLVD still holds electronic legacy to make fans– and even a ferocious honey badger– get down.
TFG Sessions caught up with Casey Crescenzo from The Dear Hunter outside of the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. Their latest album “The Color Spectrum” came out this past summer featuring 36 songs across 9 EPs, each corresponding to a certain color. Watch Casey perform an acoustic version of the song “Home” from the bands White EP. Also, listen to what he has to say about the band’s originality and how they decipher the daunting task of selecting which songs to play live.
TFG Sessions had the chance to sit down with Nitty Scott MC at Brooklyn’s Bo Concepts! Nitty has garnished much acclaim for recent endeavors. Aptly, her themed mix-tape “Doobies & Popsicle Sticks”, as well as her invitation to the BET Cypher. Nitty checked in to the music industry about a year ago when she released her viral Monster Freestyle video. Since then she has released two mix-tapes and is currently working on her first EP. Check out how this intelligent, up & coming artist got into the game and what she has in store for the future.
